I just wrapped a couple of days as a camera operator on Season 3 of Nashville.
It's always a pleasure to work on this show.
It's great to see so many of my local "brothers and sisters" getting steady work! It's also a good change of pace while I'm on hiatus from GearZ.
From what I've observed the DP, Michael Lohmann, takes full advantage of the flexibility that the Red Epic offers him.
I was one of 3 HD camera operators that capture "live performance" footage that is used in the show, and is seen on the video wall during the performance by the main cameras and we are actually seen sporadically on and around the stage as the live camera crew.
Having shot a lot of live music and music videos in the past it's nice to revisit this genre.
