GearZ 01

If you're interested in seeing some (okay most) of what I've been shooting over the past few years, check out Stacey David's GearZ on Youtube.

You'll find many segments and even a few complete episodes.

I worked on part of Season 1 which aired on ESPN2 before moving on to another full time television gig.

Then in 2009 I came back as a freelancer during Season 3, after GearZ had moved to Speed.

Beginning with Season 4 I became the primary Videographer for GearZ and recently we wrapped our 8th season, which included our 100th episode.

Between Seasons 7 & 8 we moved again from Speed to MavTV, not only that but we also moved into a new facility which we didn't have to share with any other tenants and gave us much needed additional warehouse space.

This month, GearZ will begin airing on Velocity as well as continuing to air on MavTV.

Some exciting announcements for Season 9 will be forthcoming.

It's a great gig with cool toys and interesting personalities.

We have a variety of guests on the show from movie stars like Dax Shepard to musical stars like Jerry Reed, James Burton and Casey James as well as the expected automotive aftermarket experts and innovators.

We do cover action sequences with multiple cameras but for the most part we shoot the show in a predominantly "single camera" style using Sony's XDCam disc based cameras.  I make extensive use of Stanton's Jimmy Jib during production to add to the depth and drama of various scenes.

I strive for a realistic look in an almost documentary style.
